LAX Traffic Management Tips

Encourage eastbound Departure routes via DAG, TRM, and IPL based upon demand from other LAX Basin airports as well as LAX.

ZLA LAADR:

LAX departures destined for the LAS Terminal Area AOB230.  Assists in managing High Altitude volume in Sector 38 and can mitigate the need and/or impact of other LAX Basin airports departure TMIs over DAG.

ZLA ROUTE TMI:

Encourage aircraft destined for PDX, SEA, YVR to depart over VTU..RZS..SNS.  This TMI can manage High Altitude volume in Sector 27 and can mitigate the need and/or impact of other LAX Basin airports departure TMIs over the GMN/EHF area.

Departure Fix Balancing:

Reroute departures to mitigate departure delays over a fix ie: TRM, GMN.

Implement the following altitude TMIs with ZOA during LAX East Configuration and during periods when winds aloft exceed 50kts.

Coordinate expanded MIT TMI with ZOA over AVE FIM for arrivals scheduled 2000 to 2130 local to accommodate increased Oceanic arrival demand from the Hawaiian Islands.

Coordinate the use of the LAX Offload Route (LOR) to minimize ZOA departure delays

Coordinate MIT TMI from adjacent east ARTCCs to manage demand and multiple arrival streams.

Coordinate use of J2 to allow ZAB to mitigate the impact of departure delays in the PHX/TUS Terminal Area or due to Convective activity enroute.
