Description The Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport 2008-2009 Snow and Ice Plan was amended to include a Contingency for Significant Snow Events. The purpose of this contingency is to provide a plan for deploying County Snow and Ice Removal Teams to effectively treat and keep open critical airfield areas during a significant snow fall event at DTW. The contingency plan will go into effect when a forecasted snow fall is expected to reach or exceed six (6) inches, and if the snow fall accumulates at a rate of one (1) inch or more per hour.
