Welcome to the Aviation Information page for Super Bowl XLII.  The 42nd Super Bowl will be held in Phoenix, Arizona, on Sunday, February 3, 2008.  This page includes information for aviators who are flying into, out of, or near the Phoenix area during the period from Monday, January 28, through Monday, February 4.  Of particular interest are flights into and out of the following airports:

DVT - Phoenix Deer Valley FFZ - Mesa Falcon Field
GEU - Glendale Municipal GYR - Phoenix Goodyear
IWA - Williams Gateway PHX - Phoenix Sky Harbor International

  • Super Bowl XLII Airport Information - All you ever wanted to know about Super Bowl XLII.
  • Advisories Database - Real-time advisory information as received from FAA facilities.  The Advisories Database system is a web-based application that displays up-to-the-minute U.S. and Canadian advisories.  You can also retrieve historical advisories published during the past 15 days.
  • Letter to Airmen - Phoenix TRACON information regarding air traffic control services during Super Bowl XLII.
  • NOTAM - Published NOTAMs providing data for the Phoenix area or anywhere else you are planning to fly.
  • TFRs and the airports of particular interest - Temporary Flight Restrictions (TFRs) for this special event will be in effect.  Click on the general link at the beginning of this segment to examine all TFRs, or click on the specific PHX TFR links below to determine how your flight in the area surrounding Phoenix, or into/out of Phoenix area airports, may be affected.
  • OIS/TMIs - Real-time airport delay information as received from FAA facilities.  The Operational Information System (OIS) is a web-based application that displays up to the minute Ground Delay, Ground Stop, Deicing, and general airport delay information.  Check to see if your airport is affected by a Traffic Management Initiative (TMI).
  • Airport Layouts - The National Aeronautical Charting Office (NACO) can provide the airport layout for any of the following Phoenix area airports:
    • CHD - Chandler Municipal
    • DVT - Phoenix Deer Valley
    • FFZ - Mesa Falcon Field
    • GEU - Glendale Municipal
    • GYR - Phoenix Goodyear
    • IWA - Williams Gateway
    • PHX - Phoenix Sky Harbor International
    • SDL - Scottsdale
  • Current Reroutes - Displays all current (active) reroutes with a link to the associated advisory.  Check to see if your flight is affected.
  • EDCT Lookup - Is your flight delayed?  Go to this page to see if your flight has been issued a delay assignment and what time you can depart. The Expect Departure Clearance Time (EDCT) Lookup application allows individual aircraft operators to determine if an EDCT has been issued for their specific flight.  The flight plan must have been filed and transmitted for any aircraft to be considered in any delay program.
